Independent: it works with the RIP you already have
MussolTex is pre-press: everything that happens to the file before it is printed. It is not a RIP and does not depend on one. You open it in the browser, prepare the job and take it away in the industry's usual formats (PNG, PDF, PSD with channels, SVG or DXF, depending on the tool) to open in the RIP you already have.
Nothing else to buy, no machine to change, no software to install. All you need is a MussolTex account.
What you can do in MussolTex
Check the customer's file, fix it, add effects and lay it out in production metres, all in a single website.
- DTF file check — resolution, background, semi-transparencies, strokes, margins and colour, with one-click fixes.
- Image editor — remove background, crop, resize, vectorise and halftone, chaining tools together.
- Halftones — control of LPI, angle and colour reserve.
- Textures and 3D relief — White and Varnish channels and cut lines; also 3D Puff effect and embroidery simulation ready for UV 3D.
- Production metres — automatic nesting and gang sheets with OPOS and vector cutting; channel imposition for PSD files with spots.
- Vectorise to SVG, PDF, EPS or DXF, text effects and photo mockups.

Do I need a Sapiens CoreFlow RIP licence to use MussolTex?
No. MussolTex is an independent pre-press SaaS: it runs on its own account, with no Sapiens CoreFlow RIP licence.
Does it work with the RIP I already have?
Yes. MussolTex prepares the file and delivers it in the industry's usual formats (PNG, PDF, PSD with channels, SVG or DXF, depending on the tool), which you open in your usual RIP.
Does MussolTex replace the RIP?
No. MussolTex prepares the file; the RIP turns it into what the printer understands. If you want the whole workflow from one team, MussolTex and Sapiens CoreFlow RIP complement each other.
Do I need to install anything?
No. MussolTex runs in the browser, on any computer with a connection.
